Help is needed to cover cost of utilities. March, April, and May is the time when the Museum has most of its school and home-school tours. Two scheduled out-of-state bus tours have been cancelled. At present there are no group tours scheduled for this year. The Museum operates on its admissions, memberships, and donations. It does not receive operating funds from federal, state, or local governments. Under the order to close nonessential businesses and schools closed for the remainder of the year, the Museum’s incoming revenue is zero. Both part-time employees were laid off for the duration of the closure, leaving no one to mail out membership renewals. The utility bills still come. Electric: avg $1,000 per month, Phone: $130/month, Water: $124/month; Roof repair loan: $250/mon; Property and Liability Insurance: ~$166/month. Total $1,670/month.
