Support Our Local Non-Profits

Your regional United Ways are UNITED in a collective response to the pandemic. The Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia Relief Fund will be used to support community organizations who are working to meet the needs of individuals affected by COVID-19 in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. 

Both immediate and long-term, these efforts will focus response efforts on vulnerable populations, including children, families, and the ALICE population.  ALICE, an acronym coined by United Way that stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed represents men, women, and families who work hard and earn more than the official Federal Poverty Level, but less than the basic cost of living.

For givers who want to pay by check, please mail your gift to United Way, Regional COVID-19 Response Fund, P.O. Box 644, Abingdon, VA 24212.  Please be sure to write in the memo section if the donation is designated to the regional effort.

One Acre Cafe – Free & Donated Meals

One Acre Cafe will be serving take out meals 11 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, curbside pick up is available. See their website for daily menu updates. If you or someone you know is in need of a meal please reach out in this trying time. They are donating anything they can to help the community; you do not have to work in exchange for your meal or pay if you do not have the means to do so.
